BNP Secretary General Meets with British High Commissioner in Dhaka

Md. Al Masum Khan: British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke, held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, on Monday morning at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

The meeting began at around 10:30 AM and was attended by senior BNP leaders including Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, a member of the BNP Standing Committee and the Chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee, and Shama Obaid, BNP’s Organizing Secretary and member of the Chairperson’s Special Advisory Committee on Foreign Policy.

According to Shairul Kabir Khan, a key member of BNP’s media cell, the British envoy visited the BNP leader as part of her diplomatic engagements and discussions on current political developments in Bangladesh.

This meeting marks a continuation of the international community’s ongoing dialogue with major political parties in Bangladesh ahead of upcoming political events.
